Viewing Album: PRR: Healey ~> PRR Passenger Engines
By:
Thomas C. Ayers
Dates:
10/2/1950 - 10/2/1950
Album Info:
Here are 40 original photos of Pennsylvania Railroad steam-powered passenger locomotives. The photographer's name(s), the dates, and the locations are not recorded. The negatives for these photos came from the estate of Mr. Roy Healey, a railfan who lived in California. I purchased them in several eBay auctions during February of 2018.

PRR 6701, M-1A, c. 1950
Description:
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6701, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1930 and retired in September of 1952. Looks to me like it's about to be coupled to a waiting passenger train, as an EMD switcher tows an out-of-service GG-1 on the left. The date is an approximation. Roy Healey Collection; #36 of 40.

Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of two Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives ~ one old, one new.
