This solid looking 2-8-2 Mikado was built by Baldwin in June of 1923 originally as CMStP 8343 but renumbered in August of 1938 as MILW 443. The loco served 30 years before being sent to the scrapper's torch in February of 1953. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
