PRR 8592, AS-16M, 1961
Title:  PRR 8592, AS-16M, 1961
Description:  Montandon. Here is an original photo that I took near Glen Iron, Pennsylvania, on Monday, 31 July 1961. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8592, an AS-16M built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1955 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. In this context, it's pulling a mixed-cargo local freight train eastward on the railroad line between Montandon and Milesburg. ("Red Shift" slide converted to Black & White.)
