Description:  There is quite the crowd at the East Binghamton fuel pad today. NYSW and/D&H units bracket a new arrival, a GP39-2 rebuilt at M-K Mountaintop. This was a program undertaken by NYSW to update several units and repaint them into the D&H lighning |tripe scheme. Two other 39s were done, 7403 and 7407, as well as several GP38-2s. The power at left will go out shortly on PYRP.

Title:  Crossing over
Description:  PYRP has made it out the north end of the yard, and is now about to cross over the Tier at BD, starting its trip through!Bevier St, and on up to Belden tunnel. The track on the diagonal from where the train is, on the ex DLW, to the Southern Tier Line, is the connecting track used by most trains going west on the Tier, though they can also come in and out by staying on the track PYRP is on now through the DLW station area.

Description:  MKT MOW loco GP39-2 #385 pulls the unique MKT inspection car off the turntable on this November day. The inspection car was built by the MKT Denison TX shops in 1973 from a Standard-Pullman 40' boxcar. The rare, one-of-a-kind inspection car now resides at the Oklahoma Rwy Museum in Oklahoma City. Description:  MKT was trying to make a dent in the KC-Texas intermodal market using short, fast trains. This was their daily effort, which I caught as a grab shot along US 169. He was moving pretty fast, judging by the blur on the first unit. The leader is one of the ex Kennecott Copper GP 39's.
