Description:  MKT was trying to make a dent in the KC-Texas intermodal market using short, fast trains. This was their daily effort, which I caught as a grab shot along US 169. He was moving pretty fast, judging by the blur on the first unit. The leader is one of the ex Kennecott Copper GP 39's.

Here five Katy units pull a grain train off the OKKT and across the MP diamonds. GP40 201 is backed by sister 190, GP39-2 382, GP38 301 and GP38-2 306. The orders are hooped up for a following BN train.
