CB&Q Class XM-32 38124
Title:  CB&Q Class XM-32 38124
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XM-32 38124 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. I could not figure this car out as it did not appear in the CB&Q roster listed in Burlington Route Historical Society's Burlington Bulletin # 7, so I asked Hol Wagner, and here is his reply:

It's one of the 800 XM-32s of various subclasses sold to the Chicago Freight Car Co., rebuilt and repurchased as Nos. 38000-38799 in 1965-66 and shown thereafter as built in 1965-66. As photos have proved, Chicago Freight Car did not sell back only former Q XM-32s to the Q, as there are photos of at least one or two Pullman PS-1 cars among these 38000s. I don't know that they ever received an XM-32 sub-class.
