CB&Q XML-16 20788
Title:  CB&Q XML-16 20788
Description:  CHicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XML-16 20788 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Berwick Foundry and Forge built 205 of these cars , numbered 20695-20899, in 1969. They were 50'6" inside, and had a 10' door, and this one is stenciled as having a 5080 cu. ft. capacity. This particular car is stenciled: Blt. 7. 69, and the re-weigh date is: SD. 2 75. The use of red paint with the re-weigh lettering suggests a CB&Q scale was used. There was a scale at Sheridan, Wyoming and Shenandoah, Iowa, two towns with SD in the name, just speculation on my part. These cars eventually became BN 316900-317104.
