Built by the CB&Q at Havelock, Nebraska during 1968, one of 100 cars in the 83500 - 83599 number series equipped with removable roof sections. The October 1971 ORER ( Official Railway Equipment Register ) shows numbers 83500 - 83599 ( AAR Class E320, Mechanical Designation GBR ) equipped for for steel coil load.
