Erie Lackawanna blues
Talk about a depressing sight of once was a major mainline, shops, and classification yard. I realize that the Erie/EL was never a viable railroad, but it's still sad to see. Hopefully, the WNYP and NS can help revive rail service through here.

Jon Clark General WNYP has just rebuilt the existing yard tracks in Meadville, plus added a transload track down by the 322 bridge. NS has been running these coal trains since 2004, and it doesn't look like they will stop any time soon. If anyone can revive this portion of the EL, its NS and the WNYP. 10/2/2008 1:00:02 AM
