Tim Turner General Thanks. Good thing my mom recognized the value at a garage sale! 5/21/2009 12:26:09 AM
Mike Woodruff General Correct serial numbers for these units would be 24L730 and 24L731. The vegetation on the tree suggests that this probably wasn't January in Wisconsin and in any case, the build dates on these is 2/53. These were sold to the Wabash as their #550 and 551, renumbered to 598 and 599 and repowered by Alco, then to N&W 3598 and 3599. Tim Turner General I hoped someone would have more information; thanks, Brian. I only dated the picture as 1/1/1953 because I read they were built in '53. This building is just two blocks from our headquarters fire station, so I see it all the time. 5/21/2009 6:03:53 PM
