L-windows a.k.a. "dog legs" are a single one piece window for the right half of the cab front, common on SP/SSW enignes delivered in the late 60's and early seventies.

Seen a few " L " window units, having grown up on Donner, but don't miss the SP and their grungy, filthy locomotives. I realize tunnel and snowshed running creates dirty power, but run em thru the wash racks once in awhile !
