About to cross the diamond with the Florida Central Railroad (ex-ACL) on the CSX "S" Line (ex-SAL) at the Ocala Union Station, 1219 hours. The station was built and completed in 1917 by SAL. Even though SAL was in charge of the building of the structure, they shared the cost with ACL. The station served as a stop for Amtrak's Palmetto service until 2004. Greyhound, and Ocala's SunTran bus service still use the station to this day. |
