Here is a postal card via Peter Outerbridge entitled "Pennsylvania 5406." Photo by Homer R. Hill. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #612, a K-4SA (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as a K-4S during April of 1917, later equipped with a front-end throttle and reclassified as a K-4SA, and retired in April of 1958 after 41 years of faithful service. Seen here on 20 October 1957 in Englishtown, New Jersey, it's powering a Rail Fan Special sponsored by the Branford Electric Railway Association. |
