| A FV&LS (or FOXY) train crosses S. Nash St./Hwy. M (originally Oshkosh St.) as it heads northwest with 9 cars via former CN, historically C&NW, rails at Hortonville, WI, on 27 Mar. ‘25. Train was headed for New London. The train is about to pass the historic Schwebs’ Hotel, built across the tracks from the depot in 1877. It was later renamed Hotel Jungmann, later Hotel Hoffman. It is currently home to the Black Otter Supper Club, 503 S. Nash St. I have not eaten there myself, but everyone I know who has says it is great. One of these days I will have to check it out for myself. |
