If this is 1983 the Frisco escaped BN renumbering for now. A part of this line today belongs to the Still Water Central that runs most of the old Frisco from Tulsa southwest to Long, OK and in Tulsa the Tulsa-Sapulpa Union RR.

Thanks for the info, Ken, I haven't been in this area since 1884, and had no idea that this line was taken over by another operator. Thats interesting. By the timw=e this photo was taken, the BN units where beginning to show up. Being an over the road trucker at that time, I am sure glad I took the photo's I did as I drove cross country. W esure have lost a lot of interesting railroads over the years. Take care.

By '83 these units were re-stenciled in BN numbers. This looks like # 34, the hotshot to Dallas. These trains ran with sets of 4 GP40-2s, sometimes with a GE thrown in but pretty much always 4 units.
