One of Metrolink's new, safer Rotem cars makes an appearance on train 367. The new cab and passenger cars feature Crash Energy Management (CEM) technology, which absorbs the energy of a crash, greatly decreasing the number of passenger injuries in the event of a collision. Metrolink is the first railroad to purchase these cars, part of their goal to become the safest commuter railroad in the country. By the end of this year, Metrolink plans to have 137 of these cars, which will replace most of their current Bombardier fleet. |
