Built in August 2005 as a ReilPower GG20B and at the time of the photo this Genset was already living on borrowed time due to reliability issues as well as fires. The frame oc this locomotive was originally delivered as Missouri Pacific B23-7 2324 in November 1979. Mopac 2324 was renumbered to MP 4634 and after the UP-MP merger became UP 134. On May 4, 2004 Uhion Pacific retired this locomotive and turned it over to RailPower who took it into their shop, stripped it down to the frame and rebuilt it returning it as UPY GG20B 2300. Maybe UP should've kept, the B23"7. |
