Joe Musolf General Awesome picture, I love 9647's paint scheme personally and I'll take it over the orange scheme any day! 7/13/2012 6:07:48 PM
Olaf Junges General Great catch, very nice shot! 7/14/2012 6:18:52 AM
Luke Noltensmeyer General Love that paint scheme 12/16/2017 1:40:51 PM
Tom Beckett General Nice catch on the infamous "Barf Bonnet," one of the more interesting paint schemes tried and rejected. I have to agree with Joe above, I think this is a much more attractive color palette than the current scheme. I think BNSF missed the boat, as it were, by not adopting the scheme on the trailing units here, which I have always thought was rather elegant, though the Warbonnet is equally worthy and has a storied history. Perhaps the Grinstein scheme for coal service units, and red/silver for everything else?? Twenty plus years later, it's all a moot point. BTW, nicely framed with that wonderful scenery and lighting. Too bad about the power lines :( 7/15/2019 3:31:44 AM
