Once upon a time, the likes of buses such as the one operated by MVTA in the right foreground banished the streetcar. Now the successor to the streetcar co-exists with the bus in harmony thanks to clear-headed thinking on the part of transit planners as opposed to the rank greed and short sightedness (IMO) which sent the Twin City streetcar system to Valhalla in the 1950s. This two-car LRT is crossing 24th avenue about to arrive at the MOA transit center. The car wrapped for TCF bank is a colorful contrast to the plain paint of the car ahead. |
