Odd assortment
An oddball assortment was seen recently on the east end of the old NS yard in Hilton. A pair of SW1504's, a Bayline GP38 still in the classic yellow/green scheme, and a Bayline caboose. Rumor is the Bayline caboose is headed to Arlington GA where some company officials will use it while inspecting track.

Robert Beichler General Oddball yes, but a good shot. 10/8/2012 10:25:31 PM
David Barrentine General Great shot Bryan! Good to see the old caboose being used. They had talked about using it on the A&G at one time, but that fell through. 10/9/2012 9:14:58 AM
General Great shot. The first thought is using the caboose as a shoving platform with a loco with remote control. Anybody want to put any money on it getting a paint job? 10/9/2012 2:35:15 PM
Charles Burgess General Super shot! 10/9/2012 6:17:38 PM
Jason Turcyn General This was the set shipped to CCH. Switchers are in the mill at Mahrt. The caboose is just here for storage. the bayline will be hanging out here for spare power. And there's 3 engines here that will be going back. 10/11/2012 4:35:56 AM
Bernie Feltman General GREAT to see them using a caboose on the HAL !! 10/14/2012 6:52:57 PM
Jason Turcyn General Just to clarify, this is the set that came to the CCH the day after this photo was taken. The BAYL 510 seen here was renumbered 2015 to conform to the G&W numbering sequence. Some folks have taken the assumption that it was the 509. This picture is the best proof I have for those who don't believe the blue card. 2/2/2013 11:21:33 AM
