Fred Stuckmann General Short train, the signal hasn't dropped yet. Very cool. 3/25/2013 4:58:32 PM
Bernie Feltman General So much to like about this photo starting with the fact that my grandfather spent a career hooping up train orders just like the gentleman in the photo 3/26/2013 10:04:01 AM
Chris S General Fantastic classic railroading scene; thanks, Wendy 3/26/2013 10:07:34 PM
Dennis Weber General I Agree with Chris. 3/30/2013 7:34:56 PM
Fred Stuckmann General Homepage. 5/11/2013 9:04:15 PM
David Farmer General I'm not familiar with the area but it appears to be an operator controlled interlocking and train order signal. It won't drop automatically. 8/31/2014 7:55:19 PM
Rev. Jonathan Spurlock General Dad started his career on the former C&O as an operator, copying orders and handing them up to the train crews too. He put in over 20 years with them, through the Chessie System and CSX days in West Virginia and Kentucky, retiring as a dispatcher. Wendy, thanks for the photo and memories. 11/13/2020 11:09:14 AM
