View from Cecil Street Overpass
This is a section of Chicago & Northwestern's Valley Subdivision mainline in Neenah. The subdivision was from Fond du Lac to Green Bay via Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, Appleton etc. This line now ends here at the factory that covered hoppers are spotted at the end of the visible track. I do not know for certain about the three doors with track running into them. I think it is part of Kimberly-Clark. It looks like it could be an engine house, though I have my doubts about that. Perhaps someone can let us know.

T. P. Bruss General I have been curious about the 3 doors with spurs on the left for quite a while. They appear to be part of the Kimberly-Clark Corp., Neenah Nonwovens Facility, at 1111 Henry St., Neenah, WI, but I cannot say for sure. I have never seen these doors open, but I have only looked at them sporadically over the years. 5/29/2014 5:11:19 AM
Dave Howarth Jr. General I was able to see two of the three doors open at the beginning on June this year and saw two lines of hoppers, like the ones parked on the old CNW line to the right. 6/20/2014 9:48:11 PM
T. P. Bruss General Two of these doors were open the evening of 26 May ’15. The sky was overcast (dark) and there was little light inside the building, but when I zoomed in to capture a photograph, it sure looked like the ends of covered hoppers were visible inside the building, in addition to blue flags clamped to the rails outside the building. The extreme zoom of the camera did not produce quality photographs, so I cannot be positive if what I saw in them was real, or just foolish optimism. 5/27/2015 3:31:50 AM
T. P. Bruss General Mystery solved, the facility still receives rail service. I watched CN 4028 service this facility the evening of 24 Aug. '15. I hope to post a photograph or two soon. 8/25/2015 3:34:50 AM
