| The DRI was an old-school switching & terminal road, owned by the Class 1s serving the Quad Cities. By 1995, however, mergers had reduced the owners to BN and Soo Line, so they pulled the plug on June 29, 1995. The DRI was split between the owners and ceased to exist, after 100 or so years. Here, the crew is switching their yard in the north part of Davenport, putting together a train to switch Alcoa in Bettendorf. |
