CN, ex-GB&W, Rails at Manawa, WI
Looking SSW along the spur that leads from the former GB&W mainline, now CN branch, into downtown, as seen from Bridge St., Manawa, WI on 2 Jun. '13. The white building on the right was once National Condensed Milk Co. and used to receive rail service. A photograph from 1908: http://www.mainstreet-marketplace.com/images/wismanawa.jpg; and from 1974: http://www.flickr.com/photos/77797698@N04/6859911396/. The tracks continue to the left, cross Bridge St., and end at Sturm Foods, the last rail customer in Manawa. A disagreement between the two parties has left rail service in limbo for the past couple of years.

Andre Wehrle General This spur is now gone all the way to the switch where it came off the old GB&W main, and all the crossings on the main in Manawa are pulled up. 12/11/2019 6:59:07 PM
