Like the other 5 in this C&EI class O-1, this locomotive was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1918. It had 63" diameter drivers, 30" x 32" cylinders, a 200 psi boiler pressure, exerted 77,714 pounds of tractive effort and each weighed 377,300 pounds. Eventually due to startup slippage and low speeds, the loco was sold to sold to Central of Georgia in 1945 and renumbered 712. Eventually it was scrapped in 1950. Unknown photographer |
