Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 5 January 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2516, #2220, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #2516. is a GF-25 built by General Electric in October of 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2220 is an EF-22 built by GM-EMD in March of 1963 and rated at 2,200 horsepower. In this context, they're rockin' 'n' rollin' with a 51-car TrucTrain on its way from Altoona to Enola. |
