PRR E&M Yard, #1 of 3, 1966
E&M. Here is an original photo that I took at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Juniata E&M Shop Yard in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during April of 1966. Shown here is the trusty turntable on the left. Beyond it are dozens of locomotives in various states of repair: from work almost finished to being cannibalized. Many makes and models are represented. Visible in the foreground is PRR engine #2329, an EF-25 built by EMD in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. Further back is PRR engine #7259, an EFS-17M built by EMD in 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower.
