Bonhommie & Hattiesburg Southern caboose 12 was running on a fan trip for the Mississippi Great Southern Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, thus the drop-end gondola next to it for human occupancy! Beaumont was the south end of the railroad and its connection with the Gulf Mobile & Ohio. The next year the B&HS would become a part of the new Illinois Central Gulf, and its route would become a part of the ICG main line between Jackson, Mississippi and Mobile, Alabama.
