Out of the covered bridge, and past the old MEC car shed from Gardiner, ME         
This is a steep down-grade section hence the lack of visible exhaust - the engineer actually has the Johnson bar reversed to provide downhill braking via air compression; not unlike a Jake Brake on a truck.
