Here is the third of four photos of the wreck that took place at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Kladder Station ~ located between Roaring Spring and Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania ~ on 4 March 1926. It was included in the "Altoona Area Railroad Pictorial History" edited by Linda White and published in 1996 by The Altoona Mirror, page 17. Photo Caption: "Wheels and other debris remain strewn along the tracks after a passenger train traveling from Cumberland, Md., to Altoona derailed at the Kladder Station Crossing." Also visible on the left is a portion of the undercarriage of the locomotive's tender. |
