This 4-8-4 Confederation (CN's label for the Northern wheel configuration) is a star in one of several fan excursions it pulled during its lifetime. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in September of 1942, the loco served well until retirement in April of 1960. In October of 1973, it was donated to Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, where it led another life in fan excursions which it's still doing today. Specs - serial #69716, class U-2-g, 73" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 25.5x30" cylinders,engine weight of 400,300 lb, tractive effort of 56,786 lb.
