SSW #819 was built by the Cotton Belt in the Pine Bluff Shops. It was released for service on February 8, 1943. It was the last new Cotton Belt steam locomotive and was retired to a city park in Pine Bluff in 1955.

The SSW #819 was removed from the city park in 1983 and restored to operation by members of the Cotton Belt Rail Historical Society in 1986.
