This car has a varied and long history. Built in 1912 as a dining car "Georgia" for the Atlantic Coast Line, it was rebuilt into a business car and labeled 310. The car then slid onto the SCL roster asSCL 310 "Georgia" in July 1967 and became Seaboard System 310 "Georgia" in January 1983. It became CSX Transportation 310 "Georgia" in April 1986 and sold to Texas Tank Car Works. It was up for sale by D F Barhardt & Associates but have no info on the outcome. An unknown photographer caught it while it sat in the Acca yard in Richmond, VA amd onterestingly wearing Amtrak colors. |
