Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Passenger Station in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1948. The photographer is not identified. Awaiting its next chore at the left is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1654, a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during February of 1916 and retired in March of 1949. At the right is an unidentified T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" about to depart the Station with a passenger train bound for Harrisburg and points East. |
