Built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in 1913-14 as CGR #279 (serial #1205), the locomotive was absorbed into the new Canadian National in 1919 and renumbered CN 2347. It stayed on the active roster until being scrapped in April of 1959 after nearly 46 years of service.
