| Sadly, Frisco 2-8-0 Consolidation #1233 was photographed by Arthur B. Johnson as it sat in the scrap line at the Chaffee, MO, yard. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in October of 1907, it served for over 44 years before being sold for scrap in January of 1952. Specs - class 1226, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine weight of 207,000 lb, tractive effort of 43,300 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo |
