BNSF locos on "High Wye"  Contributor's Pick!       
This empty coal train backs down the “High Wye” to connect west at Durand, Michigan, May 6, 2013. Wyes are tracks which connect to more than one line. It is using Burlington Northern Santa Fe SD70MAC locomotives. The second engine is still in Burlington Northern “Grinstein Green” colors. This train interchanged cars with Huron and Eastern Railway at CN’s yard in Durand. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation was created September 22, 1995 as the holding company. The official merging of both railroads, Burlington Northern Railroad and Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, was December 31, 1996. (Canon AE-1 35mm camera, Kodak GC-CD 400 print film)
