Entrance to the museum is through the outer side of the historic roundhouse. Inside are a variety of displays while on the truntable side of the museum has a short caboose ride. More than 2 thirds of the roundhouse is devoted to restoration of cars and locomotives for displays and for use on the museum sponsored Osceola & St Croix Rwy rides in Wisconsin. In addition, it houses a railroad archives library and the offices of MTM, the Great Northern Railway Historical Society, and the Northern Pacific Railway Historical Association. The roundhouse welcomes hundreds of volunteers to use their skills and to learn new skills in various job trades. |
