A 2-10-0 and a 2-10-2 are two of my favorite steamers. Santa Fe and Union Pacific had a lot of each.

Looks like tender was relettered. You can see number 618 painted out Was this possibly a former FRISCO locomotive? P>S. Rear of tender also has a set of different numbers showing thru. Looks like last 2 digits are "08", plus 7400 gal. capacity for water.

According to the Gainesville Midland Historical Society, this engine is the former Seaboard Airline #544, now on display at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. The tender markings are the same in the photo I took the museum roundhouse in 1984 prior to restoration back to SAL 544..
