Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at Potomac Yard in Alexandria, Virginia, during May of 1961. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4400, an E-44 (C-C) built General Electric in October of 1960 and rated at 4,400 horsepower. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #4853, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during June of 1935 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. The road number of the P-5A (2-C-2) at the right is not recorded. (Tchowee"; #1 of 27)

Description:  Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 4853 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on an unknown day in August 1962, Kodachrome by R. S. Short, Chuck Zeiler collection. This locomotive was built by the Altoona Works (formerly known as the Juniata Shops) of the PRR in June 1935 (c/n 4304), retained the road number 4853 through PC and CR ownership, and was scrapped.
