Description:
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 2-8-2 Class O-3 5345 at Lewistown, Illinois on April 9, 1953, photographer unknown, print by Don Gruber, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 5345 was built by Baldwin in March 1919 (c/n 51480) and sold for scrap in September 1955. It is equipped with an Elesco feed water heater. The name Elesco is derived from the initials of the manufacturer, the Locomotive Superheater Company (LSCo).
