NYC 4-8-4 #6000 - New York Central
Title:  NYC 4-8-4 #6000 - New York Central
Description:  Alco-Schenectady, 1945, class S-1a, Serial #71454, prototype Niagra differing in driver size, boiler pressure & cylinder size to the later locos produced. Interesting photo of this loco as it's missing the huge "elephant ear" smoke lifter/deflectors that were iconic symbols of this sleek loco. No photographer was listed for the photo.
