MKT 2-6-0 #87 - Missouri-KAnsas-Texas
Title:  MKT 2-6-0 #87 - Missouri-KAnsas-Texas
Description:  Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in September of 1906 (sn 28936), it was a solid member of the MKT roster. In December of 1923, MKT #587 had its boiler replaced by Schenectady from MKT #502. In October of 1926, the loco was superheated. After nearly 47 years of service, the loco was scrapped in June of 1953. Original specs - class D8/J5E, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x28" cylinders, engine wt of 160,000 lb, and tractive effort of 30,200 lb. Title:  MKT 2-8-2 #702 - Missouri-Kansas-Texas
Description:  Nice example of a 2-8-2 Mikado built by Alco-Schenectady in April of 1913 (sn 52905). , In March of 1923, the boiler was replaced by Schenectady from MKT #756. After nearly 38 years of service, the loco was scrapped in August of 1951. Original specs - class L-1-a, 61" drivers, 195 psi boiler pressure, 26.5x30" cylinders, engine wt of 287,500 lb and tractive effort of 57,250 lb. No date was given for this photo so an approximate one was used. The photo is by C. C. Grayson.

Title:  MKT 2-8-2 #849 - Missouri-Kansas-Texas
Description:  Built by Alco-Schenectady in September of 1918 (sn 59928), the loso served in both passenger and freight service during its lifetimes. Late in is service , it was assigned to the Southern District in March of 1949. Four months later it was scrapped in June of 1949. Original specs - class L-2-b, 61" drivers, 195 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 315,000 lb, tractive effort of 63,900 lb. No date or location was given for the photo so an approximate date was used. The photo is by C. C. Grayson.
