MKT 2-8-2 #702 - Missouri-Kansas-Texas         
Nice example of a 2-8-2 Mikado built by Alco-Schenectady in April of 1913 (sn 52905). , In March of 1923, the boiler was replaced by Schenectady from MKT #756. After nearly 38 years of service, the loco was scrapped in August of 1951. Original specs - class L-1-a, 61" drivers, 195 psi boiler pressure, 26.5x30" cylinders, engine wt of 287,500 lb and tractive effort of 57,250 lb. No date was given for this photo so an approximate one was used. The photo is by C. C. Grayson.
