| Road Power. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad road locomotives in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in August of 1960. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9547 and #9693. Both are EH-15's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9547 was built in 1948, but #9693 was built in 1949. This crew is just about ready to back the engines up and couple onto the train they'll pull out of the Yard. This photo was taken near the Yard Master's Office at the eastern end of South Juniata Street. Visible in the distance is the PRR's Samuel Rea Shop. |
